The visionary Pride House movement first began at the Vancouver Winter Olympics 2010, a trail-blazing initiative founded by GLISA leader Dean Nelson.  Initially conceived in Vancouver as a the first-ever gathering-venue for LGBT sportspeople and attendees at the Olympics, the Pride House has inspired a global movement has provided inclusive havens for LGBTQI members and supporters at many regional and global sporting events.
